OVERVIEW:
We are as sick as our secrets.
AA Proverb
If you or someone you know are in bondage to self-defeating behaviors
and deeply held secrets, this session is for you.
All of us keep a secret now and then, and not all secrets are bad,
but at least one out of 15 people is a chronic Secret Keeper. They
are persons whose secrets have power over them and make them misbehave,
become sick, or violate others. As victims of double lives, they
steal hours away from their public personalities to act out secret
rituals or passions, sometimes for decades, but
rarely get found out.
Attend this seminar and discover:
What recognized authorities say about secrets and
ways to manage human duality (such as Freud, Jung, Ellis, the Bible,
etc.).
The relationship between Secret-KeepingSM
and substance abuse, eating and sexual disorders, compulsive gambling,
overspending and other addictive behaviors.
Practical tips to improve self-awareness that will
better equip you to make healthier choices.
Ways that you, or loved ones, can transform unhealthy
and disabling habits of double-mindedness-such as alibis, excuses,
self-delusion, and minimizing- into liberated lives of whole-mindedness.
CONTENT SUMMARY:

behaviors encountered in the day-to-day activities of numerous people.
If you are bothered by Secret-Keeping
thoughts or habits, or if you live with a such an individual, this
session will offer techniques to confront dualistic thinking and
behavior.

from the destructive patterns of keeping unhealthy secrets will
be explored.

Keepers.

and crime .

As a participant you will engage in the learning process to the
degree that you feel comfortable. Your personal information will
remain confidential at all times-no pressure will be made on you
to share sensitive personal data. Should you wish to take advantage
of opportunities to disclose information, however, you may do so.

their struggles with duality (our higher and lower nature).
Reviewed authors'/philosophers'/psychologists' commentary
about dual-mindedness and ways that help and therapy is available.
Practiced how to determine the degree to which you
or a loved one keeps harmful secrets.
