FREELANCE WRITING: A SEMINAR DESCRIBING
HOW PROFESSIONALS SUCCEED
319 FREELANCE WRITING:
A SEMINAR DESCRIBING HOW PROFESSIONALS SUCCEED
Freelance writing has both short-term and long-term potential.
The key to successful communicating is motivation. Besides a proactive,
entrepreneurial attitude, freelancers need to promote their product,
their writing experience and themselves. This seminar describes
the essentials of networking and the keys to negotiating money,
time and expectations. We will discuss the levels of discipline
and competence required, "what it takes" as far as ability
with words—first draft, revisions, and working relationships
(accepting criticism, gaining approval, etc.). We will talk about
getting "repeats" and "referrals" and how pricing
is done by professionals.
