| Attend this 2-hour interactive seminar and you will
be empowered to:
- Recognize the Warning Signs of drinking/drug use.
- Understand the ways your own attitudes and behavior toward
drinking and drugs influence your teenager(s) and how these either
help or hinder their efforts.
- Discuss how family history and genetics play a role in your
son’s or daughter’s use/non-use.
- Partner with your son or daughter to create an ongoing dialogue
that builds trust and facilitates an open exchange of information.
- Intervene effectively should drinking or drugs be a problem
and set sensible guidelines/expectations for future behavior.
Your ideas are vital
You will have a chance to voice your questions and concerns during
the program. We want to target the information as directly to your
situation as possible, so you can apply what you’ve gained
practically and effectively. A brief survey, handouts, and scenes
from award-winning videos will accompany the speaker’s comments.
To enhance your partnering effectiveness, you will have an opportunity
to sign up for a follow-up seminar with your teenager—the
best way to maximize your new knowledge and partnering relationship.
At this seminar, you will also learn how to take action with other
parents, educators, and the community as a whole to prevent or curb
damaging substance-induced attitudes and behavior.

have continued falling apart because of our son’s inability
to stop abusing drugs. Thank God for his insights.”

informative and cooperative. His stories and examples made clear
ways you can live happier.”
Angela, Community Education Client
“John put out a lot of information that will
be useful in the future.
He was easy to talk to and I liked that he has practiced what he
taught us himself.
A cool guy.”
